Ajith’s choices

While Ajith is still busy with the Charan-directed Asal produced by Sivaji Productions, looks like speculations are thriving on the subject of his next project. The industry is already rife with talks about him working for a project supposedly produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu.

In the meantime, Ascar Ravichandran seems to be keen on working with Ajith for a mammoth project. Although neither his interest is made public nor an official announcement is out yet in this regard, as it seems, an idea of this sort is brewing in the Ascar camp.

Asal Ajith plays a dual role with one character dealing with international smuggling and the second role as a son. A new brand image will be given to this Boss who always break the box office through his movie collections.

Jeevanathan (Ajith) sons are Sam (Sampath Raj), Prasad (Rajeev Krishna) and Shiva (Ajith). Sam and Prasad sideline Shiva all the time. When the elder sons Sam, Prasad decide to strike a deal to sell weapons to a terror group, trouble breaks out. They Cross swords with a Mumbai-based group led by Shetty (Kelly Dorji). The scene-stealer here is Sulabha (Bhavana).There is also Sara (Sameera Reddy), who works in French Embassy and falls for Ajith. Daniel Dharmaraj (Suresh) a French cop who adds twist to the tale. Yuhi Sethu as Don Samosa provides lighter moment in the movie. Only drawback was character in which pradeep Rawat, Prabhu done was so little and storyline was same as old

My verdict of this Asal movie: Billa showed ajith with oozing all stylish. Asal has showcases Ajith on roles with style and stuff. Asal in a natural entertainer. For die-hard Ajith fans Aasal will have plenty of reasons to express joy. For the others it is so pleasant to watch.

Surangani – Ajith Next Movie with Gautham Menon


As we reported earlier, the most happening director Gautham Vasudeva Menon and most handsome hero Ajith are all set to team up for a film titled Surangani. Film will be produced by in a film to be produced by Sivaji Productions.

Surangani is going to be Ajit’s next film after Aegan. Surangani has been registered by another production so Sivaji Productions is busy now to get the title form them.

According to reports Gautham Vasudeva Menon and Ajith team work movie will have Harris Jayaraj music, and camera by Nirav Shah. Shooting is expected to start in November 2008.



Shriya out of Ajith Movie

Looks like actress Shirya Saran rejecting Tamil movies has not gone down well with the film fraternity. It is rumored that Shirya is finally out of Ajith’s next movie with Raju Sundaram and the hunt for new heroine has started


Shreya has been off late not accepting Tamil movies since she is busy with three Bollywood and one Hollywood movie. It can be recalled that Shriya expressed her desire to act with Ajith and had asked the director to postpone the shoot by 2 months so that she can give them call sheet. The current buzz is that Ajith has asked for a replacement of the actress to producers Ayngaran International and director Raju Sundaram. It is also said that Shriya doing a Item number with Vadivelu also did not go down well with Ajith. Ajith and Vadivelu have been on loggerheads since they fell out during the shoot of Raja. Ajith is currently waiting for his movie Billa 2007 which will be released on Super Star Rajinikanth’s birthday.

Shriya currently is acting in the Hollywood film, The Other End of the Line opposite Jesse Metcalfe and Bollywood flicks, Mission Istanbul which stars Zayed Khan, Vivek Oberoi and Suniel Shetty along with 2 other unnamed projects. Also in the pipeline is Kandaswamy with Vikram, where the actress sports a chic and trendy look. Let’s hope Shriya strikes it big in Bollywood and Hollywood.


Shankar, Ajith team up for Robot?

Director Shankar has gotten over his dissappointment of Sharukh Khan stepping out his dream project Robot. The latest buzz in the industry is that Shankar has finally managed to convince Ultimate star Ajith Kumar into accepting his sci-fi flick Robot.


Ajith is believed to start with Shankar’s film after finishing his next movie Akbar directed by dancer turned director Raju Sundaram. It is said that Ajith after listening to the story of the Robot project which estimated to be Rs.100 Cr project immediately gave a nod as he liked the story.

Thala Ajith is waiting for his Billa 2007 movie which is scheduled for a release on December 14th 2007. The combination of Shankar and Ajith is sure going to create sensation in the Tamil tinsel world.


Silambarasan in Asal?

Surprised? But yes, the latest rumour says that Silambarasan will be singing for the Ajith’s movie and that too the title song! Well-known is the fact that Silambarasan in all his movies carries the tag of being a Ajith’s fan.

It was already in the air that Bollywood’s King Khan would do a cameo in it and now this piece adds more spice to the movie’s grapevine. But sources close to the movie strongly denies these rumours.

According to sources, the ‘Asal’ team have returned from Malaysia, wrapping a 45 day schedule. Having completed 30 percent of the movie, the director is now gearing up for the next schedule.

After ‘Asal’, Ajith’s 50th movie is equally attracting the gossip mongers. The golden jubilee movie is still waiting for its director to be finalised.
